The Reveal
As I mentioned in the previous blog, we have decided to change our logo and keep Kuma Bear as our mascot. So here you go:

Challenges of Letting Go
After a month of reflection and discovery and dozens of sketches and designs, this is what I have come up with. It was no easy path whatsoever. The thought of letting go of the original and essentially rebranding ourselves was a difficult concept to grasp. Furthermore, rebranding required that I design something that embodied KumaThoughts and resonated with each individual. It had to speak to our brand.
Understanding the Design
We ultimately decided on this due to its simplicity, yet its ability to convey who we are at our core. Its simplicity in design shows especially how the bear represents how we strive to bare our minds without the fluff that often gets in the way. The blue part represents a body of water, such as a lake. To break this down, water symbolism in literature primarily represents life and rebirth, which relates to KumaThoughts fervent mission of growth and revitalizing our minds. You may also see that the body of water and the trees form a bear paw. It is like a paw print, leaving a mark in the ground, except this can not fade away from a stormy night of rain.
