Sometimes, it just takes a couple sparks to light a fire.

Background: Creativity starts in a long and arduous process, but once it strikes, the state of flow begins. Challenged with producing a blog in under an hour by Matt, I (Connie) ultimately turned to reflect on all the books we’ve read so far and thought about the essences. The below was inspired by Thinking Fast and Slow, The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace, Blink, Linchpin, and The Rosie Project in that order. I would like to note that I didn’t come up with the pairings by analyzing which words would best fit each book. This is more so what I have come to understand in the last 6 weeks that we have been reading. With that said, enjoy!

Lost. Direction.

Invisible. Appreciation.

Uncertain. Understanding.

Questionable. Truth.

Emotional. Logic.

Individually, the meaning of each word in the pairs is understood. Taken as a pair, they’re a pair of troublesome states and end goals. United as one, we can acknowledge the all-encompassing journey of experiencing the first step and reaching for the final destination. Provided that we are equipped with the capability of embracing our stories from the beginning to the end, we will be free to be.

And this is one of the many realizations we’ve gained thus far from KumaThoughts.

P.S. See how things change when you put “without” between the pairs and then read the pairs as one.
